Challenge
Chandler Park Academy School District of Harper Woods, MI needed a strong team to help retain and attract new students to the District. With an experienced cultural research and digital marketing team, as well as the use of tools like BrandWatch, and Google Analytics, the FLAVVRR team has spent the last three years strengthening the District’s relationship with the community. Ultimately retaining students in the District, and filling the new student pipeline.
Approach
Through our analysis, we discovered that in the District, while academics and skills development are important, access to basic needs like a safe place to have dinner, do homework, or clean clothes were often higher on the list of family priorities than academic rigor or competitive sports opportunities.
Outcomes
Strengthened existing academy school relationships through always-on website management, social media, and CRM programs
Worked with the District to implement and promote a safe-haven after-school program in partnership with the YWCA
Collaborated with the district to ensure that food insecurity was eliminated in the District during the health crisis.
