Tech Talk with Tierra

Why tech is the catalyst for inclusive business.

An inclusive business culture is a measure of organizational health we should all strive for. Business is for profit, yes. But who we get there with, and who we get there for, matters in equal measure.

And for your business’s health, tech is a superfood smoothie packed with ingredients for an inclusive business culture.

The proof lives with me every day. Technology such as collaboration tools, e-learning platforms, and cloud computing have been great equalizers within my business. To name a few examples:

This morning, I spoke with colleagues in the UK, Venezuela, Morocco, and Argentina. It was far smoother than a commute to work.

Online learning has simplified (and gamified) all of us getting skilled in new, niche, and practical ways. Global reach, for the brands we work with, has slipped from the grasp of conglomerates to those brave enough to do it.

All of this would be impossible without this tech.

However, like any great equalizer made for the benefit of all, most tech has felt impersonal for the longest time. Mass-made. Because it is! And within that, gaps of cultural misunderstanding and inequality-of-benefit have emerged.

And so the dawn of technologies like AI for mass consumption has me hopeful. It’s all about the power of personalized technology.

The power of personalization makes room for unseen brand experiences. It’s an incredible tool to make who you do things with, and who you do things for, feel heard, seen, and understood.

Tailored solutions will improve how we include and build solutions for those around us, irrespective of where they’re from.
